Payroll
Payroll is the obligation most likely to be underestimated and most expensive to get wrong. Awards, allowances, penalty rates, leave accruals, super timing—each is individually manageable, and collectively they are where small businesses accumulate liabilities without knowing it.
The exposure is retrospective. Underpayments and unpaid super don't expire quietly; they compound, and they surface at the worst moment—a Fair Work enquiry, a departing employee, a due diligence process. We run payroll so that the position holds up when someone looks back at it.
